This reminds me of the time back in high school when a friend of mine and I were working on his brother’s motorcycle while well lubricated. :drunk:What ran when we began didn’t when we were done. Boy was his brother pissed!

Working in the garage, mowing grass, and home improvement projects are things to do while you have beers…..but you might have had one more than you should’ve!

Hope the worst is behind you!

    All the things!
I like how every other thread on TW talks about bourbon and beer adnauseam... however, when someone finally admits to making a simple bonehead mistake (that people make sober), all of the sudden we're staging an intervention.

Get over yourselves... people have driven cars with brakes in much worse shape, much more regularly.

Spend 10 min browsing https://www.reddit.com/r/Justrolledintotheshop/top/?t=all and you'll see what I mean.

OP, flip the pad, check the rest of the system, and motor on.

    Edit: examples...

    A bunch..and no build thread!
Alcoholics Anonymous may be a good start...or switch to cocaine. At least with blow, you would have done the install in 30 seconds, done it right and washed, waxed and lifted the truck before the night was over.

Good on you for admitting it. I did a quick pad change on my 89 pickup long time ago and a buddy took on the passenger side replacement. (his dad was a mechanic) He put the pads in backwards too. I drove 5 miles before I realized it was all FUBAR. Drove home and flipped em and never let him touch the truck again. To this day I never let him forget it.

Skip the booze and go straight to the bong. You'll be hyper focused and everything will be as it should. Alcohol makes you not give a shit, pot will make you go over your work multiple times, clean every part and spec torque every last nut, bolt and screw.

That was back when he had the same experience draining the wrong fluid. Totally different drunk session

OP drained tranny fluid instead of engine oil 3 years ago, all under same circumstances.
