    Hey ya'll!
    Im looking for a nice 4x4 truck and the Taco is atop my list of trucks. In my searchs I keep finding them with this button. I have no idea what it is for so I'm here to ask you.
    Its the 400w what is it for??

    Yeah, and it's only on the 2005+ TRD packaged trucks, whether Sport or Off-Road.

    well i iam new on this 2 in the box by driver side u have a electric outlet so i thnk its to change 115V/400W deck powerpoint

    It toggles the AC outlet in the bed on and off. It'll run 400 watts in park, then it changes automatically to 100 watts when the vehicle is in gear.

    I've used it to run laptops on trips, just ran an extension cord through the back glass. It'll also push my smallest air compressor and pump for an aerobed. It won't run some of my bigger saws.

    My kid runs the extension through the window as well on trips, he runs his dvd player and keeps his games charged. I guess i should look at moving this inside the cab. It would be more useful.

    Use it camping to fill up the air mattress.

    There is a mod, by-the-way to allow it to give 400 watts while you are driving and not just in Park!

    No, key must be used however and in the On (not accessory) possition... Be careful to not use it too long! You need to push the button as well.
