For almost the last year I've had a really obnoxious rattle coming from the passenger side. After lots of process of elimination, found it was coming from within the glove box area.

I found a PDF on here (2WD Low mod thread), with instructions on how to remove the glove box as I haven't had time to tinker and remove it myself. As I was pulling the box out, a little bolt fell out! I know it's not from me as I've not been in this area of truck, didn't see anywhere it could have came from so into the "random pieces of truck" bag it goes.

    The rattle is gone!

Nice, glad you found it. Rattles drive me frickin crazy! Had one from the same area in my truck, turned out to be two harness contacting each other ever so slightly.

Thanks, I'll remember that. Where were the harness wires?? My truck makes a weird tapping sound in that area too. But only after driving it for an hour or so. Go figure.

I've chased every rattle down and silenced them. This one was the worst and most involved.

Next is sound deadening the doors and replacing speakers.

When I order seat covers I'll be removing the seats to do a thorough clean and install covers, and in the process tearing the rest of the floor up to do a full sound deadening so everything windows down is covered.

I'm going to pass on doing the roof for now, maybe later on I'll get the motivation.

I'd consider doing the roof while you have the seats out, makes it much easier to move the headliner around.

Hard top camper...many more to add+
Next is remove the NUT behind the steering wheels… especially the DUI nuts….averaging 28 people dying from DUI in America…every day!
If you add the world figures… every 4 seconds someone die from a DUI accident….

Almost impossible situation to solve? One suggestion is increase the fines to $10,000 per incident or more..and lose there license for 1-5 years…and lost of the vehicle…imprisonment?

We all need to stop this deadly acts…. Care before it happens to your family and friends…
Holidays are here…liquor sellers best months, November- January…?
    Me..? Just a coffee drinker…
