Pancake approach

A couple of you asked about pancake rock & I talked about the weird ass approach angle to climb it & this is as close to a real approach as I could find on vid. & like most vids & pics its not quite justice to actually doing it

just a really fun, challenging in spots, real short & just kind of a wierd trail as to dealing with obstacles & wouldn't recommend doing it without sliders for sure......

That looks like he's going vertical. Many rolls/flips there Doug? That just looks flat out intense.

 

I've only run it once with another member here & yeah theres more than a few spots where wheeling on your roof would be pretty easy, when I rolled up to the "rock" i was thinking "how the hells the best way to start up it?" It was like making a full lock right turn into a fuggin' wall....awesome !! If you go to you tube & type pancake rock, alot of vids pop up...

 

That's a monster of a climb. I wouldn't know where in the hell to begin. Somebody has got to let me ride passenger up that thing someday.
