That’s about the last pair without holes. Time for the annual package at Costco.

I'm a little leary of reloading. I've know to people that have missing parts due to that. Besides, I don't shoot enough to justify the expense, much less the learning curve.

And I just got a message today that my son got his first buck. He got a doe last year. When he was about ten he went out with his first toy bow and came home with a rabbit within a week. After that it was pigeons, as long as he ate them. He ate quite a few pigeons... lol

It's like anything else, you just have to be careful, read the books and pay attention to detail. I was lucky and had someone show me the basics on reloading the 30-06, which was the first ammo I wanted to reload. Single Stage press allows you to do one step at a time, which will help you develop good and safe reloading skills. I've been doing it for over 20 years now, it's a great way to relax. I just take my time, verify each "case" has powder before seating a bullet and crimping it.
Yes it's expensive when first setting up, but in the long run, you will save money, and it's a great hobby.

Good morning fellow Porchies!! I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and you survived the turkey-induced sleep.

We ended up with just 3 people at the table this year - could have been 15 but circumstances resulted in Lynn, her Mom and me. Quiet but awesome.

Today is our 47th wedding anniversary. How blessed I have been.

    47th Anniversary.jpg

We are planning on getting our Christmas tree today - raining and 39F right now but it's supposed to stop raining by 9. We're only 10 minutes from the tree farm so it should be OK.

    Be safe out there!!

My Brother and I had our usual bachelor Thanksgiving, but we eat good. I almost prefer a nice quiet day without all the drama associated with "Family" members.
Glad you had a nice day, enjoy your Tree shopping.

We had a threesome this year too; my wife and I, plus our recently widowed neighbor. The good news: lots of leftovers. The bad news: lots of leftovers!

I'm heading to Maryland today for a family conclave of a sad sort. One of my cousins lost a son and they've come east from Iowa to have a memorial service for him. I'll get to see folks I haven't seen in a very very long time, and meet some I've never. met, which I'm looking forward to. My uncle says their day-after Thanksgiving dinner is going to be pizza!

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Seems to be a trend; was just the 3 of us here too. Lions of course provided the usual entertainment - their new thing is losing at the end of the game. Longs time suffering with that team! Hopefully, Texas can pull a rabbit out of the hat this morning! Then, it's big pot haircuts and into the greenhouse they go.

New smoker did well, but all the probes apparently "froze" during the cook, and I finished manually. Not quite perfect, but darn good, and not near as "smoky brown" as we have been used to. I will do it again for sure anyway!

That is a beautiful dining room Mark! Have to agree with Mike - WOW!

I am struggling to remember a guy from way back that loaded all his own shells. It was all muscle memory; he was so smooth and efficient.

Well, have a Black Friday! I'm going to see if anyone's want list matches the sale list - they seldom do. Oh, and my shocks finally shipped! Be here next week. Been waiting a minute or two - since April 30!

    Morning all:
Sorry to hear about your cousins loss of a son Dave, condolences to the family.

I hit the jackpot, well sort of! I have been searching for a part that the gunsmith removed from my 600 and 660 Remingtons when he did the triggers under a factory recall. When I asked for those parts he said that he threw them away and they no longer fit after the trigger modification, YEA RIGHT!
I just found them listed at Numrich Arms, I had looked there before and they weren't available, I will be ordering them today.

    :facepalm:Forgot also!
    Happy anniversary Mark

LOL ;) Just wait till the cooking bug bites you. You will be good at it quickly.

I cooked it at 350 for 4 hours rotating the turkey every 30 to 45 minutes. I have enough injection left over to do a chicken.

Nice set up. Do you take the TV down for the winter?

Thermoworks is having a decent sale today. Bought a 4-channel timer as a stocking stuffer for me. Hope everyone had a decent day yesterday and plan on leftovers for lunch or dinner today. Going to make turkey soup tomorrow.

No. It’s a cheap Walmart TCL TV. It lasted through 105 degree summer days and a couple of 20 degree nights. If it goes I’ll spend another $200 for a replacement.

Good morning fellow Porchies!! It rained and snowed off and on all day yesterday here in northeast PA. No snow accumulation but it won't be long.

We picked up our Christmas tree yesterday morning - I was bummed that they didn't have any trees over 10' so we went with a 10' one. Put it in the stand to let the branches drop and we'll decorate today.

Donating blood this morning for the first time since about 2000 when my Army travels put me on the Do Not Donate list. The requirements have finally been changed so I can donate again.

    Be safe out there!!!

Thank you for giving the gift of life. I need to donate this coming week. The donation center is always looking for B+ blood. LOL
