Best 3rd Gen Colors?

1. Cavalry Blue
2. Inferno
3. Magnetic Gray

I haven’t seen Lunar Rock in person, but let oks good in pictures. I thought the same about army green till I saw it in person.

 

Anything but red.

 

This is an easy choice, Super White. It looks Great when its Clean and Waxed and it Looks great when it's Dirty because it doesn't show.

 

Even looks great when its flaking off the doors... oh wait..

 

Yikes that's not good. But let me just say. I have a 2005 with 247,000 Plus miles and my Super White paint still looks Pretty Damn Good. And mine isn't flaking off anywhere.

 

Yeah, its a gamble on the white. Most dont have issue, but some do.

 

I guess I am one of the Lucky ones.

I like white (mine), Army Green, Cavalry Blue and Cement.

 

Inferno first, cement second (bought this since inferno wasn’t available anymore) then army green third.

 

I am gonna be that guy...

Technically, there are only 4 or 5 colours each year, the blues, red, orange, sand and greens. The whites, blacks and greys are shades.

Those army green tacomas look too much like the same colored state trucks our game warden's drive around in.

 

Had a 2018 TRD OR in Barcelona Red. Sold that earlier this year for a 2019 TRD OR in Cavalry Blue. I like it much better. I didn't realize that color was available for only 2 years though!

 

I love my quicksand... I spent 2 months looking for one in the color. Glad I didn't settle for another color.

I don’t get why Toyota discontinued cavalry blue. They’re putting it on the Camry and RAV4 now which is kinda odd.

 

They discontinued it out of pure spite for me. They knew exactly what I wanted and refused to let me win!

No, but really, that is a good question. I know it didn't sell well on the Tacomas, but it was still on the Tundra until 2021 and I've only ever seen one of those. Can't have been selling that well, either.

 

Before I saw the name, "Army Green," I told my wife, "I like that green, it reminds me of the trucks the park rangers drive." She agreed, so that's what I got. I'm tempted to slap a Smokey The Bear sticker in the rear window, haha!

Cement and Cavalry Blue each got a vote from me too - Cement would have been my first choice if they'd kept using it for '22. Speedway Blue would have made my top three if second gen colors were in the survey.

 

One of the many advantages of the Tacoma are the color choices. Seems none of the other manufactures offers as much. Pretty much just red, black, white & silver.
