    Too many to count
I bought my truck used back in March with about 70k miles on it. It had everything I wanted: a DCSB OR 4x4, a bed cover, tan color, and most importantly, it was manual. Bought it for 36k out the door all taxes, fees, etc included.

I had drove another used 2019 silver SR5 with an A/T and only 4x2. It also only had 30k miles on it. The dealership had that truck listed within my price range at a good price, around 26 or 27k with a limited lifetime warranty.

I bought the truck I wanted, even with it being about 6k out of my price range, and I haven't second guessed myself for a second because I will keep it forever.

Edit: I will always tell people to wait for the right opportunity and get what you want and not to settle.

It really isn’t a good time to buy, unless you really have to. It’s a great time to sell if you have a surplus vehicle.

Yep, just had my KDMAX Pro tune installed on my wife's 4runner. He can tune up to the 2018s as of right now. Huge difference in low end power and the shifts are refined but very crisp and quick. Whahoobie did my tune on my Tacoma and now on my 4runner.

Getting ready to take it out for a few errands and will report back on the mpg. Might want to keep an eye out for the new thread.

I used to joke the fact I didn't drink was the reason I had an STi at 24. My friends would blow my car payment in a weekend and wonder why they all had 10 year old hand me downs from their parents. I'm actually gearing up next summer if the market ever breaks to do a ridiculous stupid thing and finance a third car for giggles. I always had a policy that toys were paid for in cash, but I'm getting the itch for something different in addition to what I've already got, so we'll see.

The only thing I don't fully understand is the people who swap the same truck within generations. I understand regretting a shortbed, or an automatic, or wanting a different trim, but going from one truck to the identical truck 1-2 years later confuses me. I cannot say I haven't considered buying the final model year they do the 3G with the MT to extend out how many more years I can own a manual truck (since the newest 3G will be 7 years newer than mine) but even that is a stretch for me.

Having just updated @mds08 and his Limited 4Runner with a new KDMAX Pro tune build on the VFTuner platform I'm not sure why we need any luck, but it is fact that we have access to several years/trims noted below. Thanks @PapaRee for a great 4Runner offering!!

    4Runner support:
    2010-11 2/4wd, 2012 4wd, 2014 2wd, 2015-2018s 2/4wd

Tacoma outsells the 4 Runner over 2:1. We want trucks and we buy them. Don't get me wrong, I do like the 4runner but it'll never be a truck. ;)

Yeah, even my silly Camry 3.5L V6 is worth more than I bought it for over a year ago.

Some great stories on this thread...thanks for sharing!

I've mostly purchased new in my lifetime:

    1993 Isuzu Rodeo (Standard 5-speed)
    1996 Honda Civic (Auto)
2003 Honda Pilot (Auto, only came in Auto)

1984 Nissan Pulsar NX (Used) by parents/I purchased after I enlisted in the USAF
1991 Isuzu Pup (Used) Bought in HI

Ford Saloon 4/Dr (Used) British Spec
1984 Mazda 323 (Used) British Spec

Didn't consider trade-ins RIGHT AWAY with New vehicles. I did trade-in the Rodeo for the Accord in Abilene, Texas. And I sold my Accord while driving my transition Isuzu "Pup" and eventually bought the Pilot while stationed at Hickam, HI.

I'm very happy with my Tacoma!

You have to keep those pool chemicals in the open or they'll contaminate everything.

And that’s just it. We already have a 4Runner and it’s great, but it’s not a truck and sometimes we need our trucks.
