Even paying more up front, the Taco will be cheaper in the long run. Titans guzzle gas like crazy, and if your keeping your truck for 15 years it will be a lot cheaper.

    Welcome to TW! :D

Desmo, It seems they have failed to get the joke...oh well...the 2011, TRD Sport with Off Road and TX Pro Xrunner will live in mystery...infamy, some liken it to the snipe, or bigfoot.....Talked about, but never seen!

How do you mean? The trim packages and options should all be fairly uniform in price. I walked in, gave them a check for that amount and nothing more, and drove away with the truck. That price was just for hardware...no extended warranty, extended service plan, dent protection, paint protection, new car smell protection, tire nipple protection, horn decibel protection, or any other crap they try to sell.

Depending on the state purchased the tax rates are different, southern states pay more for preparing the vehicle and I have seen where people tend to interpret what OTD means on their own (this is what I find confusing) so it will vary. However, if you get the invoice price it makes it easier to see what you paid over or under for the vehicle cost set by Toyota.

So if your truck was in the same region as mine w/same options (tow, drl, mats and sill protector) then the invoice is:

    True Market Value® Pricing

    • Base Price

      $24,303

    • V6 Tow Package

      $546

    • Daytime Running Lights

      $34

    • TRD Sport Extra Value Package

      $2,483

    • AM/FM 6-Disc In-Dash CD Changer

      $622

    • Carpet Floor Mat Set/Door Sill Protector

      $110

    • Destination Fee

      $810

    • Regional Adjustment

      $0

    • Color Adjustment

      $0

    • Total Price

      $28,908
    • -$950 discount for option package)
    • $27,958 (invoice price)
Then you can start adding the regional adjustments and dealer prep etc. Note that dealer cost is s till different than this invoice price but it seems to be more scientific than someone throwing out a number.

Now I see what you are saying. For comparison:

    Model MSRP: $25,925
    V6 tow package: $650
    Daytime running lights: $40
    TRD Sport package: $2,605
    Floor mats/sill protector: $179
    Destination fee: $810

    Total MSRP: $30,209

Damn. I didn't think I got a great deal before, but now I think I got screwed!

Look at invoice and not MSRP, sounds like you got a fair deal to me. Looks good BTW
