CMC. I actually remembered to take a “before” picture this time. You can see my cut lines- this puts the face of the mount behind the firewall. The last thing protruding in the bolt for the body mount.

Even now doing it in a controlled environment I don't like it cause mine don't look anything like I'd want them to

95% now. Only bugs me after a long day of working. Otherwise it’s a dull nagging pain but manageable.

 

I do and I have. I have one scheduled this coming week. I generally advise against it but if that’s what someone wants, I’ll glue it on.

DRT CMR today on @vitistop ’s beefy third gen. The hardest part about this job is getting down to the clean frame. Third gens have a body wiring harness just above the stock cab mount so it’s delicate work on the driver’s side. I realized I mixed up my pictures from drivers and passengers sides but you get the idea- same same.












Also don’t forget to smash the living shit out of your trigger finger while you’re in there. Have to drain this thing now.

Busted my finger today too, just doing an oil change lol. Hurts more when it's cold out!

 

Thanks Dave! This didn’t really start hurting until I drained it. Haha. Now it’s constantly stinging and annoying to flex my finger. I’ll probably have to remove the excess skin for it to heal properly so that’ll be fun. Also need to get a heater for my propane tank for days like this. Probably could’ve been avoided if I had full dexterity.
