I'm surprised that OP has >1k posts and thinks factory decals = lift.

Also comical that dealer put on MT tires for 1k when we all know they'll resell the pulled factory Wrangers for ~$800? Buddy/all TRD lift kit folks are getting hoodwinked (or are ok dramatically over paying for a slightly higher stance)

Dealership never kept his tires, he already had them sold to someone as soon as he got home with his truck.

My little mom & pop tire shop, was putting lifts on a brand new Tacoma every week (last year, when there was inventory). They’d come right of the carrier at his shop, he’d work ‘em up and then the dealer parked them out front. Looked like a mashup of Toyota OEM bits and some low-rent junk, but he was banking money and the dealer was moving them, so…

    Not surprised honestly!

My dealer is doing the same thing. Not sure what "lift" he got though... for $1k? Somethings not adding up here. But I got the Ironman Stage 2 foam cell w/ uppers, I got the rims and tires myself from Discount, and I got tons of extra stuff. 5.29 gears, OEM Audio Plus upgrade, etc etc... it's all on my build page. They barely charged me any labor. I was shocked. So honestly not that surprising to see another Toyota dealership doing the same. My previous car where I came from (subaru, I am ashamed) would not do shit and they wanted a massive amount for basic bitch work. Even oil changes I overheard a cutsomer paying almost $70 for! How fucking naive.

anyways, get the details on that lift. $1k is VERY low. I think your friend may be fibbing a little, but I don't doubt he still got a good deal. But 1k with labor is for sure a spacer lift. Either that or it's the TRD lift and the bigger tired make the difference. What size tires are they? Still, $1k for the TRD lift with labor is a little low. Not much lower, but a little low. For something like I got, the ironman, you are looking at $2,400 without install.

Whats funny is they were trying to make me finance through them and they said "loaners are only for people who finance through us".
I was like "bitch your giving me a loaner, I am spending almost 10k in upgrades with 10k down and giving you a trade in you can profit on. You are giving me a fucken loaner when my trucks in your shop.

While I would love to ask for a Supra, it's not the smartest move making an 80 mile trip through the mountains back home where I live in Montana, lol. But yes, the guy from parts was on my side and he made sure I got the loaner. What a dick move though, literally the only thing this dealer did trying to be a stealership. They just knew I was not going to play their game. Just out of curiosity, did your buddy take their financing and please for the love of all thigs holy tell me he didn't pay for their extra bullshit - like their warranty. Cuz if that's the case, I can see why they loaned him a supra, lol.

He bought the truck in Jax, had Beaver in St. Augustine do the lift.

I'm thinking he had to have paid for an extended warranty. He claims he has a 10 year 100K mile bumper to bumper and a life time drivetrain warranty. Too good to be true usually is.

I was surprised he got the Supra as a loaner too. He said it was a damn fast car.
