I may be moving to springs next year. I'm considering turbocharging my 2018. What kind of trouble can I expect with smog or any other inspection?

Yes u can have it. No inspection but yes @ 7 years old you’ll have to pass an emissions test. Since Covid you don’t even get out of the truck. They just hook up the scanner & you pay the $40 bucks. But since your out of state they make you pay for a vin test. That’s $20 bucks or so. Get your plates changed right away because you’ll be charged a late fee & it does increase the longer you wait. My 2013 just had its first emissions test cause of the 7 year rule so technically it hits you 8th year. Tags are done at a kiosk now in the grocery store & the emissions test is electronically sent. Pretty easy process. You’ll have to make an appt probably cause you don’t have CO plates

Unless things have changed since last year there are no emission tests in the springs

When I was there to register my truck in co all I needed was a vin verification, I imagine smog is only required in the Denver area only

Busy with a few honey-dos this weekend, but I'm around. Truth-in-advertising, however, I don't know anyone with turbo experience.

Springs doesn't have emissions testing? We have it in Castle Rock 30 minutes north...
