Anyone with these tires 285/75/17 in a c rated or even e rated just wondering how big these tires actually are on a 8.5” rim if possible. My 33.1 measure only 32” curious is these are smaller or about the same size as advertised

I am riding a 285/70-17, E-Rated, on 17x9's and with the usual PSI that I run (37) I am measuring 32 3/4" in height. A 285/75-17 should be taller than mine.

Did you move up to 35x11.5 from 285/75/17?

I bumped up to 4:10 a while back. 4:30 wasn’t available at the time. I put 4.56 in my first gen and it worked great for off-road shanagans but was pretty high rpms on the highway. Wasn’t going bigger than 33”s at the time.
Dont know if i want to bigger than 285/75/17 with these gears and im not going to regear again.
This size seems much more proportionate than the 285/70’s which are the same height as my skinny 33’s just wider

Exactly the tire I'm looking at for my 4runner. Where did you pick yours up?

Finally arrived after a 5 week wait. Hard to get these around here.

First foray into a A/T tire. Always ran Michelins LTX M&S for many trouble free years. We also went one tire size up from stock. Tires look better in person than in the photos.

First impressions after driving with the OEM Firestone Destination LE’s2 for one year.

    1. My TRD Sport looks more like a truck. Love the look.
    2. Truck feels more like a truck while driving.
    3. Can feel that It sits slightly higher. Wife is short and noticed the 1/2” right away.
    4. A little more road noise with these. Not a problem tho.
    5. We feel a lot more confident about heading deeper in the bush with theses tires.
    6. No rubbing with the slightly larger P265/70R17’s. Stock wheels, all mud flaps and front spoiler still on truck.
    7. May see a slight increase n fuel consumption.
    8. No vibrations. Balanced with no issues.
    9. 3 peak snowflake rating.
    10. Comes with a $70 rebate. Mail in tho.

Funny, my brand new 1992 Toyota 4X4 came with 31.5” tires from the factory. I see how much influence EPA and fuel economy figures weigh in on product design these days. This new truck should of have come with 31.5” tires from the factory.

just a couple of things tbh
had these for a few weeks now and so far they have been great! (besides the road noise tbh) overall the tires ride a lot smoother and seem to grip a lot better then my falling apart stmaxx i had but the one down side is the fact of how loud they are i think they are louder then the stmaxx tbh but besides that they have been great.

havent been offroad with them yet since i still rub in places and still have to fix it

They'll quite down in a bit. Love that size. Sorry if I missed it earlier, but what's your gearing?
