Blame a company for not having issues with their bed bolts on an install video because you did? Seems about right

I had no issues breaking loose with a 18” breaker bar leaning over the tailgate feet on ground.

I did this install today too but didn’t have that much rust on that specific flange. Now the flange at the other end of the y under drivers side cat looks like it’s all fused together.

Stock gasket was toast imo (it’s cheap enough there’s no reason you shouldn’t change it out). I took a wire brush to remove as much scale/loose rust as I could and cleaned it up before putting the new gasket on

You could definitely manage/fight the removal/install with 1 person but you’d likely be banging against everything. I had the ol lady give me a hand and we managed it relatively easy weaving it in, around and out. We actually had fun

The hanger pliers were f’n great (with the addition of soapy water squirts). If you don’t have the instruction sheet- go get it and follow the order of removal so your not fighting it. I did lift it up as high as my stands would go and lowered the diff (watch your lines); removed the spare also.

I torqued it down to 35 and evenly but noticed this gap… anyone know if this is normal?

What's the weight rating on those wheels? I'd make sure they can support the vehicle or you'll be in for a crushing surprise.

So. Driving lights not fogs. Packing slip said fogs. But the inner packaging confirmed driving.

I would try reaching out to whoever you ordered them through, hopefully they can just send you some white fog lenses.

already in contact. since they dropshipped directly from DD it sounds like they have to contact them about it first. SUPER NICE lights, just not what I want for fogs LOL. If I could just get the correct lenses I'd be more than happy.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.

    Perfectly normal!

Some flange clamping systems have strong coil springs with longer bolts clamping the flanges together. That way the flanges don't need to distort in order to provide pressure to the gasket.

Of course, the sealing gasket is "special" for such systems. sometimes donut shaped.

so after steadily watching my mpg drop. The practical side to side of me decided the juice was not worth the squeeze. I can't stand losing 2 MPG's. Just so I can get a little bit more noise and a cleaner looking engine I'll never see. So I put everything back to stock. I'll keep an eye on the mpg and see if it gets back to 18. But I'm also wondering if the cold weather we're getting now affects mpg. I did leave the mass airflow adapter in.

The stock exhaust flange is thicker I believe and I didn’t pay enough attention but assume it was more flat. The trd exhaust flange seemed thinner with a rolled edge. I’ll look at the stock flange again

yea the stock exhaust flange is thicker than the trd. Same thickness as the other half pictured. The trd is ss and thinner- the edge is rolled but if you look at the bolts you can see a difference in old exposed threads to now exposed (looks close to a 1/4” more threads).
    E4EA5F9D-9076-459B-B9F1-E57FD5091971.jpg
Unless I was supposed to bang on the exhaust to get a better seat I just lined them up and started threading the bolts evenly until torqued.

care to share your thoughts @Bishop84

Like you said, there's two different mating surfaces. The trd flange looks flat while the oem appears to have a slight curve. You've torqued it and you have the new gasket to seal up the difference. I'm sure you'll be fine the way it is. Don't over think it. :burnrubber:
