Celestial Silver Metallic Thread

It’s not a pearl. It’s metallic.

 

What improvements stand out for you? I have a celestial silver manual OR about two weeks out…

 

Auto on headlights, dual zone climate, the audio system functions/sounds better, the chrome trim around the cup holders in the center console are not chrome anymore (used to blind me at certain angles), seems to track straighter (old one would wander even after multiple alignments), power seat. I just wish the paint match was better on the front bumper.

 

Interesting. Glad to hear there’s some meaningful updates.

I remember my ‘15 always looked like the fender flares were a bit of a different color because of the way the paint looked on the plastic. I wonder if they use a different primer/base coat to make it adhere to the plastic on the bumper. Bummer!

I’m liking the celestial silver either way!

 

I really like the color, and I’m not a silver fan.

 

Spotted this Celestial Silver Metallic TRD Off-Road at my local dealer. I prefer it to Silver Sky since its a lighter shade of silver.

 

I've seen the same thing on every Tacoma (regardless of color) that I've stopped to look at in the couple of months since I ordered my truck.

The photos of this color look nice! I like all the metal flake in it. Before I got my Taco we had a silver Xterra next to a silver Crosstrek in our garage... I would have been happy to drive a silver vehicle for another decade, but somebody in our household was ready for some variety and I had to narrow down the color choices somehow.

 

I love the color. My super white matched perfectly.

 

Picked mine up on Friday. It's got a beautiful shine, seems to have very subtle gold and blue undertones (could also just be reflection idk). Once I find a silver sky to park next to I'll take some comparison photos.

 

Here's some comparison photos of Celestial Silver (front) vs Silver Sky (back). Can't really tell much difference. New silver seems slightly lighter maybe.

 

Lol @ Toyota. As a Silver Sky owner, i can't tell a difference.

Silver is still and has always been superior.

I'll be truthful - I think Toyota just renamed Silver Sky Metallic for the new model year.

 

I can't really tell a difference from those photos. I'll have to see the two side-by-side.

Still loving my 21 OR in Silver Sky Metallic.

 

Silver Sky Metallic gets mistaken for Cement Gray in certain lighting so I love SSM.

the metallic flakes are amazing in person as well in the sun.

 

We are waiting tooth and nail for ours from the Town and County Toyota of Wenatchee, WA. Same color as these are. Monday to the 1st of Dec. Just drooling over you guys getting yours! Wondering if it is there yet getting detailed. If the place was not 100 miles from us I would drop in and see if the Truck full of them is there yet!

I know exactly how you feel! Mine was 140 miles away and I waited 2 weeks. The folks over at Salem Capital Toyota were great though... No markup over MSRP, no pressure, no hassles. I was willing to consider any color but red, and I'm really happy with the Celestial; I think it looks great.
