You don’t need any of theses services consult your owners manual for service intervals and recommended service.

    None of those are needed.

Rear diff gear oil can be good for easily 50k+

Alignment isn’t needed unless you run into a curb / rock / etc. until you start to replace suspension components down the road or get a new set of tires at best.

Your brakes adjust themselves - I can’t believe they even made up a service called clean and adjust.

AC doesn’t smell? Don’t worry about it.

I’d do the rear diff oil.

At 32k miles? You're probably the only person in existence that would change the diff oil at that point.

Read around on this forum and see the service intervals most parts require. It'll save you money (and if you're not careful, cost you much more by looking at odds and ends you never knew existed) :)

If you don’t get alignments you’ll save enough money to buy that new set of tires (then get it aligned)

Don't ever go to your dealership for regular maintenance without first having read the maintenance schedule and determined what the manufacturer (not the dealer) recommends for the particular time/mileage, then authorize only those services and nothing else. The service writer who is writing you up is compensated based on the number of add-ons they sell you. They are basically salespeople, not techs.

That dealership is worst than a BMW dealership!!

Actually now that I think about it, when I had my X5, even Beverly Hills BMW did not try to pull off those type of absurd services.

On commission. Usually on a hundred dollar up sell it's worth 5 or 6 bucks to them, the Tacoma has both drain and fill plugs making it a easy due it yourself on the diff's, on any service dealer recommendation ask to see the fluid I've seen it both ways when I worked at a dealership, just a normal check I found a diff"s 1st service on a CJ 4000 miles black and full of metal shavings. The svs manage even questioned it and he and the customer both came out to confirm he was from corporate. I've seen milage recommendations at that milage 15000. And the fluids were just as clean as it was new.

I think they are trying to recuperate for the loss in sales with this kind of bullshit.

Agreed. Like most things mechanical there's a break-in period, typically 500 miles for a rear diff.

Edit: And it should be referred to as gear oil 'change' and not flush. The remaining recommendations would be a hard pass for me/most.

You guys seem to forget that on this site, people love to brag about changing oil every 3000 miles "because back in the day" or "cheap insurance".
