Found out that my parasitic draw problem was connected to my intermittent airbag light. Opened up the control module to find the capacitor died and killed some other things too. 20211119_160831.jpgFound a used srs control module locally for $50 from a 97. After replacing the capacitors no more dead batteries and no more airbag light.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Had some good sunlight/weather today. So we decided to switch gears and paint some shit.

    20211126_115624.jpg 20211126_131308.jpg 20211126_131313.jpg 20211126_134557.jpg 20211126_152808.jpg 20211126_152815.jpg

And when we mounted the new rack, I noticed the roof was hammered. Clear coat was pretty much gone, and I was down to primer in spots.

So doing the clutch on my daily. It appears the PO lost or the shop did or something the transmission dust cover/inspection plate.

Not finding a PN or anything. Anyone ever replace theirs? or am I screwed?

yeah. I found it. Toyota calls it a "rear end plate" so was weird finding it.

    PN - 1136162010

Can't believe its been without one this whole time but..oh well.

Fluid was shit too. So hoping after rebuilding the MC and Slave, new fluids, new clutch, it'll not slip and I can actually floor it for once.

I did a headlight retrofit myself. Quiet easy to do actually.

I started with fresh TYC headlights from Amazon.

Baked them at 270 degrees for 10 min each, removed the lens covers, and the OEM bulb reflector shield.

    Installed the projector housings.

Installed the lens back on, baked it again for about 10 min, and pressed them on with some channel locks.

    Before:

    After:

Forgot the cutoff pic, I have some aiming to do, and I'm parked on a hill so that's why it's kind of weird:

I had the same thing with mine. Bellhousing cover plate thing was missing and took a while for the dealership to find the right part that I was talking about because they didn't know what to call it either lol

    Looks great. Clean look.
Nice to see just a simple projector install without all the halos or other fancy RGB stuff in there.

Did you upgrade the shift forks? Or get it annodized?

I believe there is a rubber trim piece for that as well. Maybe it's included.

There is indeed. Found that too. Bolts are a bit tricky but think I got it all.

I was able to get the fuel tank down and get the charcoal canister out. I also took the time to clean up some frame rust I didn't get to when I had the bed off last year.
