    Not really sure

This is from ammoland b/c I can't link gun sights from work b/c they're blocked

U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- DC Machine is the biggest machining company you may never have heard of. However, you are likely familiar with Palmetto State Armory, located in Columbia, South Carolina.Aug 28, 2020

    This is from concealcarry

DC Machine is PSA's barrel maker. According to one of the guys, this was a company originally started by Jesse James and the DC stands for Death Chopper. I remember hearing at another point them telling us that they ship 7,000 orders each week.Sep 26, 2019

I also found this from pewpewtactical, so maybe DC just does the lower models?

PSA seems to have three tiers of barrels.
    • Premium: chrome-lined or CHF (cold hammer forged) that are made by FN.
    • Standard: Nitride, Melonite, and stainless barrels.
    • Basic: phosphate coated.

just skimmed the same article! Haha.
    Sister company.

I had heard they were tooling up to make their own ammo, so it would make sense to be making their own barrels now also.

good shit. I learned something today!

I found some more info and edited my post. FN does seem to make the "premium" series barrels.

Jesse James made some pretty awful guns.

His suppressor looked like a butt plug.

Ballistic Advantage was bought by Aero a few years ago(BA is a majority owned division of Aero)), so I'd imagine it's the same. BA makes Aero's barrels FYI

I have the same trigger on a 7.62x39 build I did. I have since removed the 1-6 & swapped the grip to an FDE.

It'll have an Aero barrel made by BA  I don't know if there are any differences b/t the "Aero" barrel and the BA. I will say I have never seen an Aero barrel that looked like the BA "premium" or "flutted" barrels(grey ones), so maybe the BA barrels that are black(entry level) are rebranded as Aero?

It’ll take more looking in to I was thinking a fluted Barrell but my mind is wide open at this point. I will most likely finish the lower before I look too hard at the upper

My first, and possibly best, AR. Older S&W M&P15 that I picked up used. Shoots 3/8" MOA, with decent ammo, all day long.

Some day I'd like to replace the pencil barrel that my first kit rifle came with. Trouble is, I'm not sure what length the gas tube is on my current set up and would like to keep everything but barrel swap. Guessing it's carbine length. 16" pencil barrel DPMS

    GAS TUBE LENGTHS
    • Rifle-Length - A rifle-length AR-15 gas tube is about 15.125" long. It is used in a rifle length barrel, which ranges from 18" to over 20", kind of a no-brainer. With a rifle-length AR-15 gas tube being the longest of the bunch, alignment with the bore is critical. If you measure the distance from the rear of the barrel to the gas port hole it will be @ 12-inch, so, you would need a rifle length gas tube.
    • Mid-Length - A mid-length AR-15 gas tube is 11.75" long. A mid-length gas tube would be mated with a mid-length barrel that is 14" to 18" long. The distance from the rear of the barrel to the gas port here is @ 9". If so, a mid-length AR-15 gas tube is needed.
    • Carbine-Length - A carbine length gas tube is 9.75" long. A carbine gas tube would go with a carbine barrel falling between 10" to 16" long. A carbine barrel is indicated when the distance from the rear of the barrel to the gas port is @7". A carbine length gas tube is then in order.
    • Pistol-length - A pistol-length AR-15 gas tube is 6.75" long. The pistol length gas tube is used with a pistol length barrel that is 10" or less. A pistol length barrel is indicated when the distance from the back of the barrel to the gas port is @ 4". You would then choose a pistol length gas tube.
