On the highway the F250 will get up to about 11. It weighs 6600 pounds without anything in the bed so the town mileage is brutal.
The old 460 will really deliver the mail -- if you can afford the postage!

Well! :censored:, changed out that clutch master and slave cylinder and it didn't improve anything :frusty:
I guess must need a entire new clutch :notsure:
It kind of odd because any other time I've seen a clutch go bad they would just slip. This thing grabs good it just doesn't release very good:confused:
Guess I knew it would need a little maintenance. I just forget that I don't need any more projects

Has it sat around for a while?
Might need to be driven to work a bit of rust off the input shaft splines? Dry pilot bearing? :notsure:

No, I believe it's been driven occasionally. I drove it back 2 hours almost from where I bought it, but that didn't require much shifting. The few times I've driven it to town it does seem to work a little better after driving.

A new everything inside that bellhousing is $250.00 roughly and a good days work.
The last time I did a clutch replacement it was a day and a half but I had the flywheel turned. That $250.00 includes a new one and a rear main seal. I didn't know to do that on the last one:anonymous:

It's actually an industrial smoke machine in the fire box and a commercial blower in the front.
