An attempt at a viper cut for the 2nd gen. I think looks pretty cherry! Another braddah where I’m at gave me the inspiration to cut. https://youtu.be/cQLOhGGgWZo

Looks good... I'm still amazed at how good those 3rd gen OR wheels look on the 2nd gen.

Toyota should've put in a little more clearance from the start, just my opinion.

I haven't had problem with the approach angle as much as the departure angle. Before cutting bedsides and removing the factory receiver I was dragging the back end fairly regularly.

With 285s I don't rub the portion of the bumper cover that is removed with a viper cut either so I'm not sure what the point is beyond looks...maybe I'm missing something though.

I’m running 35s with oem bumper and never had an issue with clearance in that location

I drag ass pretty regularly as well, I plan to chop the rear eventually, as for this type of cut, for me it was mostly for looks. It’s just plastic. I have plans for a steel bumper in the future

5100s maxed out up front, 5100s random add a pack rear, 285 wildpeaks.
Awesome job! Using this as a visual to get my 2012 cut soon!

I made the same cut for the Rubicon. I figured it would give me a little bit more rock clearance before folding my bumper under. It saved my front a few times that weekend!56A3C26B-35BD-48E3-87C8-4A48AA6F841D.jpg
