Love that color, I wish the Pro models would break away from white black and 1 specialty color

Is it bogging down? I would run 87 gas and can’t hurt for dealer to check. Also watch to see if traction light comes on. Maybe spinning wheel and not noticing which kills power.

I’m glad the OP posted this. I posted the same a while ago and got almost no replies.
Mine is a 2018 4 cyl AT with 30K. It’s done this from the beginning, and I’ve been using the ECT always on mod for about 2 years now. It’s also not the gasoline.

Driving a steady 35-45 MPH, slow down for traffic ahead, to about 15-20 MPH then traffic clears and I try to accelerate. The truck just hangs there for a FULL second like it doesn’t know what gear or what rev to bet at. Then all of a sudden, BANG! it jerks back to life and jerks my head back and accelerates. Mentioned this to the dealer service manager and he gave me his best straight face reply and said strange, he’s never heard of this.

Not a single other issue, no hesitation when starting out, no surging at any steady speeds, no other issues. (Other than a weak 159 HP engine in a truck)

I installed a Sprint Booster and it was a huge improvement; not ready for a tune yet.

Any chance you had it in 4x4? I haven't had your experience, and I'm honestly not sure how people think a tune would fix your issue. To me it sounds like youre almost describing trying to turn on dry pavement while in 4x4

Nope not more than 1000' above sea level. Its cold now and snowing but its nearly winter. Gets up in th 90's during summer. I keep saying these trucks are all tuned to run different from one another. My buddies 2019 trd was a pooch running 87 till he traded it in for a frontier. My 2020 sr5 is stout on 87 and has a noticeable loss of power on premium 91, and over. All our fuel grades have 10%, or highers amount of ethanol in them.

Must of been really low. I wouldn't think less than a quart would make a big enough difference to notice.

I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport and have not experienced any issues with the tranny like mentioned by the original OP. It runs and shifts great maybe I got lucky.

it was about 1/4-1/3 quart low. surprisingly enough, made a big difference.

This jogged my memory. We had a 2002 RAV4 and after 150K it developed a very slow trans fluid leak, a very slight drip. At times, the car would shift like shit and after putting in like only 3 or 4 ounces of fluid, it would run fine until the next time it needed a top off. Very sensitive.

    daily driver stuff mostly.
Another newbie here... 18k on the truck. Shifting does suck. It hangs in a lower gear for torque on a hill when i don't need it... it hangs in a low gear when i've reached speed on a flat. So I've been slapping in to "S" and telling it the gear I want since about 4K miles. It seems like it's learning... is that a thing?

The truck is learning your driving habits now I read that somewhere the computer is storing your driving habits to make it easier on the truck maybe it is bullshit but I am sure I read it on TW.

Yes. Supposedly it does learn your habits and how you prefer to drive it.
