I believe Kure and Freeman Park will allow you to purchase a day pass. Otherwise you have to buy the annual pass. If you get it in December 1-15 for the upcoming year, it’s half price

It was nice last night...lots of huge unavoidable pools from all the rain last week. Didnt even have to air down.
So if its open 24 hours, how can you not camp out there?

seriously, doubt it’d be an issue cause no one really cares but it’s a possibility that you get asked to move on. If it were me I’d do everything I could to keep a low profile

if you do get asked to leave, Carolina beach state park is just up the road. You’ll be just fine out there but it’s not ocean front

 

Very true. Except it’s hard to keep a low profile with a RTT. And I looked up Carolina beach state park earlier but said they were booked.

 

Would be fine if they’d just let me pitch the tent in that main office/entrance parking lot. That could be ok with me. Butttt if they’d kick me off the beach, I’m sure they wouldn’t allow that either.

 

Im with you guys, doubt anyone would check, would probably get told nicely to leave. My buddy does fishing tournaments down there and they definitely camp there all weekend when they go. Even saw a group saturday night with a campfire.

But like anything nice for us the masses and tourists would trash it immediately or someone would get stabbed over drugs and it would just be another freeman park.

I would support a camping permit, make it expensive to weed out the riff raff, even if it was only during the off season.
