I got held up at Dulles once for 30 minutes because I had a large book in my bag which was deemed a "suspicious object". Had to wait for the manager to come off lunch and search it because the agent said he could not. He opened up my backpack, pulled out the book, said "this was it?", and sighed

And to think, earlier this year I threw away a good Benchmade knife in the trash because I forgot to take it off my jeans when we got to the security line. I should've just put it in the tray with my shoes

Sucked, was the one my wife got me last Xmas with my initials on it. I can't keep a good knife the same way I can't keep good sunglasses - they just get lost or ruined

Aw, that makes it worse :(

My EDC is a $30 kershaw because it doesn't hurt too badly when I lose it... I lost one and found it 2~ years later in the couch after moving

Sunglasses aren't a problem for me after lasik. My eyes are sensitive enough to the light that I'm almost always wearing them if I'm outside. phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses always on lock.

Usually they have a way you can mail them home, but hard to do if you're in a hurry.
