^Thank you for the rational minded and practical post (legit no sarcasm)! I just mentioned a few days ago that I’m not going to publicly post on here what I’m doing. I am just curious, and I dont think it was mentioned? What about the shipping? How much was it? Who paid for that? I am sure freight shipping tires might be cheaper than UPS, but it can't be that cheap, especially at that distance ? with shipping factored in, Is it really worth it to be buying/selling used tires at this distance?
(I just sold the factory wheels off my corvette and shipping from San Antonio to Philadelphia was $300 with UPS ground Fronts were 25lbs each backs were 32lbs each)
I am hoping for the best for the OP and the worst for the alleged thief.

They were brand new and I was in talks with him before he sold them locally to another TW’er. Price was edging too good to be true, but not there yet. Really the only warning I had in hindsight was his texting me at least once a day almost anxiously wondering where the payment was. Easy to look back now and see that as a warning sign. I rolled the dice and took a chance. Lesson learned!
