What air pressure are you running in those tires? Looks like about 2 pounds lol

First pic is 10 lbs and second is 8 lbs. They just look exceptionally low due to them being in a high stress situation. Just parked on level ground it looks a lot more normal.

I'll drop down to 6 PSI if I need to. 26 PSI is normal street pressure. 12 PSI is my dirt road pressure. 8 PSI is my in the big rocks pressure. 6 PSI is my "Fuck me these rocks are really big pressure". Pitbull Radial Rockers 35x12.5 on regular rims.

So far 8 has treated me well with these beadlocks, no burping or anything. It’s my go-to for crawling.

On beadlocks I'd run 6 all the time. I still don't have them.. For the past 5 years I've been saying I will get some beadlocks but keep putting it off. The main reason is in 5 years of pretty hard wheeling I've only lost 3 beads.

Two of those got re-seated with a ratchet strap in less then 5 minutes. The 3rd had to be pulled off and the spare put on. So that took about 10 minutes. The reason I haven't bit the bullet on them yet is I can't justify spending $2k on new rims when my old ones have cost me 20 minutes of downtime in 5 years. Do I want them? Yes. Do I really need them? Probably not.

I know I don’t *need* them but I do love them. I managed to scoop them barely used for $350 a piece when these ones are $600 new. It’s just nice to not worry about rolling a bead, ever. I’ve never rolled a bead before and now I can maintain that track record lol

I completely agree. The extra piece of mind is nice. Maybe for X-Mas I'll get the Trail Ready BL's I've wanted for five years. With current lead times that means I might have them by summer 2022 wheeling season. lol

Without beadlocks, I'd say the highest pressure that is comfortable , and maintains traction. You can always air down more if needed.

This^ . I do the same thing with air pressure. I basically let the vehicle tell me what I need. If I'm slipping on the rocks I'll let some out til I'm not, digging in the sand same thing, if I want a smoother ride over rough stuff etc. I don't have set pressure for anything

My God! Are you two suggesting old guys actually know a thing or two about vehicles and there use? (Sarcasm off).

You’re going to run afoul of the youngsters that haven’t lived long enough to realize they don’t know everything.

You used to have to learn how to drive Off Road by doing it. Now you can go on the internet and learn from many who have never buried there trucks flush to the bumpers with axles extended in mud know all about it. Knew a guy who bought a brand new Jeep in the 80's and asked if I want to go climb some hills with him to see how great it is to do this. I told him after you learn how to drive it. The first hill he went up did not make it to the top and also did not know how to turn t around on the hill! Rolled it all the way to the bottom. Broken arms and such least they had seat belts on and a good NEW Roll Bar that saved there lives. He ate a lot of Crow over that one! Be careful what you read on the net some times not the best information.

Or what I've noticed alot lately is relying on the electronic doodads and getting in over their head once the hill decent and crawl control and terrain modes etc can't get them out.

Many many years ago a old man told me only use only enough power to do the job. Any one can floor it to do the job but it takes experience to do it calmly. I take pride not being covered in mud now plus not getting stuck. No way am I going to mud bog a $40K Pick up and just trash it. Was reading on the Challenger Board yesterday about a guy who Curbed his car into it! He said I was showing off an punched it on the first day and lost control and slammed it into a curb!! Boy did they laugh at him over that wondering why he did not slowly find out what it can do punched. The first time I opened mine up to 100 plus MPH I learned how long the Automatic 8 speed takes to slow down! I was on a long strait away you do that in town and you will be surprised! They roll for ever even off the Gas!!!

What helps with off road low tire pressures and keeping from blowing a bead is using bead seal glue

This works very well in sealing the bead to the rim
