Truck balls

 

I should have save money and just bought truck balls. With finally adding lights to the truck I got a Switch-Pros 9100 and a pair of Baja S2 amber pods. Been doing a lot of night runs recently and it's been really dusty. To possibly save my ass I figure I needed "chase" lights. Don't need someone ramming me on the trail.

 

Been debating what kind of rear chase lights to run myself. Granted it'll be a bit still...

 

There is a few options for actual chase lights/bars but I don't have anything to mount stuff too. Figured I could mount these two pods to the bedrail right behind the cab and let the Switch-Pros do the work with it's strobe/flash functions. Switch-Pros is more of a preemptive thing for the time being. I'll have the chase lights and ditch lights for now. Probably rock lights in the near future. After that it kinda depends where I go lockers wise hopefully next year.

I'm in the Air Force and not authorized to use these.

They're so damn pricy now. It's like $300 more than when I looked at their first iteration. Wait time is starting to climb too with the whole electronics shortage. I'm hoping the local shop I ordered from gets a unallocated shipment of them this week or next so I can install.

Wiring scares me

 

Same...I tend to stick to simple shit like lights or that rugged radio I recently got. I'm gonna have to re-up on my youtube electrician certification when it comes to installing this thing lol.

Garage space? you have a driveway don't you?

 

How do you like the rugged radio? what model/wattage did you get? I'm looking at their 45W kit. Or did I misunderstand and you haven't installed yet?
