Looks good. Hope you have better luck with that Herculiner spray than I did.

@Johnnyhcakes how strong are those Aluminum Extrusions?
Would you be able to stand on one of them?

Thanks, it does great. Until anything metal touches it, lol.

I honestly did not test it that way. I have a pelican case and traction boards mounted now with no issues. They seem to be the same 8020 extrusions that prinsu uses. I got them from tnutz.com.

I'm making a sleeping platform in the truck bed and was wondering if these would be strong enough to span the width, 57".
Has to hold all my weight on the end as I get in.
    Using 2x6s now.
    Thx

You can get them in varying sizes and dimensions. And definitely much more beefy than the ones I used. You could easily use them for that and much stronger than wood.

Nice job OP! I think the only thing I would have done differently is mounting to roof t slot rails. But.. good job!

LOL, that was my problem too. I followed the directions when spraying a cargo basket I made, let it cure for a couple of weeks just to be sure, put some empty NATO cans on it and it promptly rubbed off. :facepalm:I've heard the brush on stuff is a bit better but haven't tried it.

@Johnnyhcakes That’s a cool rack! Did you get the aluminum side bars at tnutz also?

Yes, if my topper had rails, I would have preferred that too. But so far with a touch of silicone, no leaks.

Thank you! I would have to dig for my receipt, lol. I ordered them online from a metals fab shop. Not Tnutz, but I can't remember off the top of my head.
