I've got an AT habitat on my tundra. I put on icon RXT (option 2) and its been great. Rest of my suspension is stock.

I have a 35 gallon tank and also some 5 gallon cans. The kind of trip I go on will determine how much water I take with me. Usually 15-20 gallons is plenty

I've done a few week long trips. Best advice is to make sure you have some kind of organization system. I primarily use some front runner Wolfpack boxes.

I also have front runner Wolfpack boxes, but I primarily use them as organizing my gear that I keep in storage. Going to build out the interior of the bed with 80/20. Going to have a 45L dometic fridge and water tank and storage for clothes, food & gear. I know the truck is going to be heavy but it’s my DD as well so I will most likely not keep everything in it all the time. My thought process is to grab a couple of the Wolfpack boxes and go. Since they with be pretty dialed in with organization.

About to pull the trigger on an AT Summit with the following:

    front cab slide
    PS Tern Euro window
    MaxxAir Fan
L track on roof (plan to weld my own rack system)
    Wired for Solar w/170w panel
    Furnace
    Thermal liner
    Bracket for awning

I’m super excited and nervous at the same time. Can’t wait for the adventures to be had.

Just ordered upgraded rotors, pads, & brake lines. I figure with the added weight should have better brakes. Also going to get airbags installed until I can figure out suspension(have to do some research and wait to get total weight)

My vote is Deaver U402 Expedition Leaf Springs! Stage 3 if you plan to tow a trailer, stage 2 if not!

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I 2nd this. I have the deaver stage 3, and love them. Who doesn’t like a beefy pack of a boat load of leafs! The ride is cush for how stout it is.
I got a GFC, loaded Decked box, big ass fridge, lots of gear, rear swing out with spare and dual Jerry’s.
Rides like butter and I am not joking. It doesn’t feel over-sprung or not enough for what I have. Like Ryan said, I pull a trailer with MX bikes and sometimes my Offroad trailer, so the stage 3 was for me.

Sounds like a great set up for you Taco guys. But sadly I have a Tundra. Had to get a full size I’m tall and couldn’t fit in the Tacoma comfortable.

Nothing sad about having a Tundra! It’s one of my favorite yotas I own. Been putting it to work recently.

My habitat has a lock hasp on it that will rattle open when off-roading and make enough noise that it bothers me. I usually jam a stick in it to keep it closed and cut down on the rattling. What do you guys use? It’s there a lock that would rattle less or something else? Or maybe I shouldn’t be sensitive to the sound?

My driver side hasp is hard to close and i've noticed it popped opened after washboard driving. generally can not hear that particular annoyance though, too much chassis noise. i've found these latches to puddle rainwater and then permit seepage into the hatch perimeter, even in a state of drought, they are annoying. from the inside, i find it hard to secure the latch hasp, such that a high wind will not cause it to spring open. i've been meaning to place an elastic hold down when inside for the night, but have not done this yet. so i'm pretty much going with the annoyances as they are right now. the driver side is the hard latch to close from inside as well as outside.

oops, your talking about the hasp up on top near the rubber hold downs. my bad, i have one only and just let it do what it does, but a stick sounds good, or, place a lock in it.

camping photo from september 28.2021 during KNP smog event. the view is great here, but obstructed and my eyes burn.

Mine came from AT with a carabiner clipped in each hasp to keep them closed

You can also adjust the hasps. AT told me the proper adjustment was just enough tension to keep it closed. It’s not meant to hold the lid, just as a safety catch.

    Micro Carabiners work fantastic

Quick request & question for you AT Overland topper owners:

Can someone take a couple pics on how the topper is attached to the bed of the truck?

Also, I’m thinking of removing the plastic bed rail & tail gate pieces and covering the holes with aluminum tape and then Line-X it. Do you think this is a good idea?

    Thanks
