Orangewood finally got my replacement to me today….

that thing has a serious case of fret sprout…not sure how you could send a guitar out like that pretty sure the wrong move/slide and you could cut yourself…....

it’s going back and I am writing them off… kind of a waste of time dealing with them shipping and returning etc etc… I wish it had been different but….

Saw Joe Bonamassa in Reading, PA last night. Awesome show, I'd highly recommend it. I think he has a few more stops on the east coast.

I had an issue with a Guild ap240 parlor guitar, something with the wood on the peg head. The tuners were literally pulling right into it. It's got an slotted headstock. I bought it almost a year ago.

Took it to my local shop where I bought and they checked it out, had their luthiers look at it, none of them had never seen anything like this before, they called Guild, and handed me a brand new guitar to take home. The moral of the story. Guild has a lifetime warranty on their guitars and always support your local guitar shop because they will have have your back.

Gotta plug some holes and drill some new screw holes to install some new Grover 18:1 tuners on my little parlor. Anyone ever do this? Was gonna stick a toothpick in and some wood glue. Then use a razor to clean up and drill the new holes. Holes should be pretty small.

Got a pic we can see? I know it will be tiny holes. So it may not show up. I can ask my friend who is a guitar builder.

I gotta take the old tuners off. I'll post when I do. I did a test fit yesterday to see what I'm getting into, and then put the old back on. The old holes will be covered, but they are will be so close to the new, I gotta fill them to support the new screws. It's a slotted head stock which has the old open gear style tuners. It's the two small screw holes above and below the tuner that hold the plates down. Luckily the large hole fits the news tuners, so I won't have to ream that out.
