Found a pic of Big Mike helping us out when they came thru GA for the hinge replacement tour.
I am still blown away by GFC coming all the way out to make repairs.

posted this on my build on GFC's forums, but in this video, they are talking about custom foam that was made for their application. I checked out the site, and it seems very interesting (and not too expensive!) They also talk about sheets, but I cant understand what brand they are - EDIT: https://beddys.com/collections/rvs-campers

Thoughts on the side tent doors? I'm sure extra doors are great, but $500 for extra doors is a lot. Not something I could add later though either.

I decided to spring for it. figure if i'm spending this much money, what's another $525? the gf also demanded it so wasn't much of an option tbh lol.

I'm glad I did though, it's nice being able to see all around you. And for any hot climate camping, it'll be worth it.

Funny aside: when I was first ordering I thought it was $525 per side door lol. Once I realized it was $525 for both, it was much easier to stomach.

For solo camping, I don't see a need for side doors. If there's a second person upstairs, the space feels tight while removing a floor panel to climb up or exit down. Budget in another $300 for the ladder plus mantis claws & brackets.

I went with gray. I think the red will pop, but too much for me. Plus I didn't want too much red/white/blue going on my truck

I got black because it’s one of the no cost options and because the extrusions are black on all models. So for looks basically. So far black has been okay but if you live in a hot sunny climate maybe go for the white.

I know I’ve seen examples of the red one on the official GFC forum. There’s at least one posted over there of a Gladiator with a red V2. I considered the red but thought it would look like I tried and failed to match my Barcelona Red.

That grey definitely looks good. My line of thinking was opposite...not enough color on the truck lol, and I wanted it to pop. Maybe i'll finally get spotted in the TW Socal Spotting thread...

Yeah in SoCal I figured it was between the white or red. White I was concerned would look dirty much too fast, and i rarely wash the truck. since red was only $1 more, i figured it was worth it. plus its unique...never seen a red shell like ours that wasn't a Leer/ARE/other standard shell style.

my question was also a way for y'all to subtly show off your GFC so have at it friends

I think the red will be perfect with a contrasting color like white. When is your install?

scheduled for February 20, right before presidents day.

I considered shipping it until they told me the quoted price lol. Figured i'd just take a holiday weekend to drive up there, meet the crew, and get it installed.
