AR-15 BS Thread

Will have a H3 BCM buffer tube core 15 m-lock upper with 16 inch barrel and 15 inch Midwest hand guard rise armament RA535 trigger….

 

The threaded bolt catch is nice, but not a necessity! I'll stick to my Larue triggers thank you!

 

So why an H3 on a 16in gun? Most come standard with an H, some upgrade to H2. Most only run h3's on short stuff from what I understand. Everything I have runs and h2 except my over gassed 10.3 mk18 dd upper. That has an h3 set up.

 

I may be running this with a 10.5 setup possibly as this lower may be swapped between uppers 16,11.5.10.5 and 9 inch uppers. The H3 buffers I have are running about 5 oz vs 5.4 plus on some.

 

Ahh gotcha. That makes sense. What springs do you usually run? Standard carbine?

 

Just get an Aero upper. Much better quality and not expensive.

Also, if interested I got a Rise Rave 140 flat face trigger, Raptor CH, LMT take off ergo grip and LMT take off ambi safety I'd make you a package deal on if you need them.

 

I usually run the standard carbine springs but have mixed them up some. If I was indeed of those I would jump all over them plus my go to trigger now is the RA-535 for my builds that trigger is absolutely one of the best in my opinion with such a sick reset.....

 

Gotcha. No worries. Just trying to consolidate a little and free up space in my parts bin haha.

 

to stay within his budget I have aready thought about a Aero blem upper and we can build from there as his funding allows. Get the lower done first I guess. The dan boy picked the worst time to buy a lower. I just bought all his Christmas presents last week and now he does this. I have some extra grips so thinking Ill slip one and a new Pmag into his stocking. I could give him an extra Aero LPK I have but then I won't have one.

 

You say he's looking for FDE upper only? I have a stripped black blem upper that I'd let go for what I bought it. Meant to buy a slick side and got the standard with the forward assist. Then bought the slick side anyway so its just chilling new in the box. PM me if interested.

Placed an order for the newer Vortex 3x Prism for the 7.62x39 rifle, trying to keep weight down as it'll be used for hog hunting. Its ~9 oz which is almost a LB lighter than my lpvo+mount.
