Why do Hankook's rate so poorly on TireRack

Anyone know why the Hankook's rate so poorly on TireRack?

I'm contemplating a set of these purely because the price is very reasonable and they still have an aggresive looking tread. I've done some searching and haven't found anything terrible as far as feedback.

 

As I'm continuing to look, TireRack only has the RF08 and I was looking at the RF10. Maybe that's the reason...? Suggestions?

 

I bought the Hankook Dynapro's RF10 All-terrains, Tire Rack doesn't sell them. They are a great looking tire and I love them so far, extremely quiet on the highway and ride very smooth. They also have a 60,000 mile warranty and were very affordable

 

Correct, the AT RF-8's are the old model. The new model is the AT-M RF-10.

 

I run the Hankook Dynapro M/T's and they are fantastic.

 

I love mine...don't know what tire racks deal is...great on and off road

 

The RF10's have won comparisons against tires such as BFG AT's and Toyo AT's. Seem like good tires to me.

I have the RF10's and they're great in the snow and offroad (trust me on the snow part, we keep getting slammed in NJ). I got them from DiscountTireDirect.com for $114.00 each. They advertise a higher price but I found one of their dealers in some state was selling them for less so I called and they lowered the price.

 

i have the RF10's as well, didnt get a ton of snow this year but i rarely needed 4x4 this year. last year with my crap stock tires, i was spinning all 4 wheels in wheel drive. love the grip on these hankooks

i've thought about selling my Hankook MT's for these or Grabbers. the MT's are a great tire, but overkill for me since im 2wd. the only reason i bought the mt's is because they looked badass and i just had to have them lol

 

I was just gonna post something about this... A ton are getting recalled and are defective. We had a set of them on a Suburban (I think 265/70/R17?) They develop large "cuts" on the sidewalls and I'm assuming blow out. We caught ours before anything happened. I'm sure that's the reason they're getting bad reviews. Check them out if you have them. You might get a free set of tires out of it.

 

265/75r16's don't rub on stock suspension.

Our definitions of "aggressive looking tread" are apparently different.

 

I don't own them, but when it comes to tires, they're kind of like fishing lures:
