Just learned of another fabrication shop... on the island. Greenlane Offroad. https://greenlaneoffroad.com/ they do aluminum.

Edit: I guess I was late to the party... @TacoPacific already mentioned them...

I like the looks of thier stuff.. I might have to look closer.

Never heard of them before. The irony for me is, I bought my Eibach lift kit from Lowriders in Delta. They are one of 2 distributors for Eibach in Canada. The other being in Ontario.

Didn't want to push my business in this thread, cuz nobody likes "that guy", but if anybody has any questions feel free to ask. We only work on tacomas and 4runners so I like to think we have a pretty good idea of what works well with them! :canada:

Mostly sell c4 and CBI but can also weld up Coastal Offroad bumpers. We don't do our own, we aren't really a fab shop

Is anyone on here running Greenlane Offroads hybrid sliders/step? I've been looking into them a bit more due to the weigh savings, I like the 12.5* angle which seems like a good trade off between the typical 20* or 0* on the other brands. Not into the hardcore rock crawl & ping pong between trees type of trail but I do get out there fairly often. For the price and potentially a few hour drive away to pick them up, seems like a decent deal. Yes being aluminium, it won't hold up as long as steel but does anyone have the weighted theirs prior to install or can ballpark the weight difference?\

Plan B would be to go with the cali raised 0* with filler plates, ends up roughly the same BUT add powder coat cost (3-600$ extra I figure)

My only "issue" with Greenlane is that it's mentioned not designed as a hi-lift point. That being said, how could a slider be designed to hold the weight of the truck/prevent damage and take a certain beating, yet not be able to be used as a hi-lift point? The only reason I'm asking is, what if you need to lift the side just enough to swap tires or fix a flat? That little amount of lift should be able to hold on emergency situations...?

I have heard of one guy with the Greenlane aluminum steps, and they used a hilift on it and before the wheels even came off the ground, the step had bent so much they couldn't open the door anymore. To me, aluminum sliders are completely pointless, they will do nothing if you actually hit them. Greenlane makes nice stuff, but those are steps, not sliders.

Powder coat on the caliraised sliders we sell I believe is around $350 for the poly armour coating and sandblasting.

That's insane! Great to know though! Any big lead time on those so far? I might pull the trigger on them by end of the month or xmas time frame!

We have a few in stock right now for the DCSB unless we got some online sales over the weekend. We do have more coming as well though.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes to clean up the highways from the mud and debris. My Dad had close to 4 inches of rain since midnight in Victoria.

It’s strange to be thankful to live in the North Shore due to rain in the region. The rivers sure picked up here but luckily most held their own.

To everyone for a swift conclusion.
