    Was she on meds?

It's more common than not having some sort of disorder. But not accepting, and seeking treatment for said disorder is when things can go south real quick.

Sorry to hear that buddy.. Got to watch out. If you need to get your stuff out of the apartment, I would call the police and ask for assistance. Honestly, I've found the county sheriffs to be more helpful in these situations. I stayed in a bad situation for a long time -- well too long. I've raised three kids since my ex didn't want anything to do with them after we split up. My youngest had just turned 3 years old at the time. I've had a challenging life but a rewarding one as well.

Some of those traits are definitely similar to what I experienced with mine. I won't go into it, but it just seems like it's more and more common.

She was on lexapro for a week or two before we met and stopped taking it because it made her nauseous, a common side effect of starting the medication which resolves after a couple weeks of being on it. Due to the fact that 95% of our serotonin is actually in our gut and not our brain.

I had recommended her to get back on meds multiple times throughout our almost 5 years of relationship and she had considered it at one point because she has IBS from how bad her anxiety is. However it just developed into a projection and blame game on to me for being the root of all for issues in her life. I kept spending a good majority of my time explaining to her that she would be upset and mad regardless whether I was in the picture or not and it got to the point where I was giving her space and not bothering her, just paying the bills and doing my part but still there were problems

Definitely really common in today's society and also in individuals our age, because these disorders develop at 20s into 30s. Just goes largely undiagnosed because mental health is a taboo nowadays and people consider it as a joke or excuse to get out of things, as well as it gets mislabeled as a short temper or something along those lines

High pressure society, help is hard to get, and there’s a stigma attached to getting therapy - we’re going to see a lot of this.

My current girlfriend reacts to things in ways that hints she’s been through some shit, makes me sad. She’s got help to deal with it though so the future looks bright.

@Das it mang good luck man, getting out that is wise. Just hope she finds her way before someone gets hurt.

Thank u as well my man, thats exactly another reason of reassurance why I needed to do what I did. I had spoken to some coworkers who have gone through similar and with kids. their response was if not doing it for you do it for the kids and your future because how would things play out if you did have children. I luckily had a half day that monday, took all my stuff and dumped in a storage unit. Then took my cat and fishtank to a long term friend of mine to stay for now. Sleeping on an air mattress, but much more comfy than my extended cab of the taco like i did the night of our fight.

Man, that last part sounds way too familiar.

She had to have been diagnosed with said disorder though for her to be prescribed Lexapro. For her not to take it just tells me you really dealt with a lot more than you ever should've.

For you though, you may realize you'll get over her sooner than you think. I only say that because you'll need to remind yourself that you guys ended not because you didn't try your best, but because it was her that came up short.

Really though, make sure to give yourself all the time you need. And don't go rushing into something new too soon!

    You'll need that $$$ for those 40s n tons.

Thank you, that's what's scary is she's so set it's me that i can see her hurting someone else all the same or worse without knowing. So glad you guys chimed in with words of advise, ive been ghost and needing more of it

Everytime i start to feel bad about it being over i think exactly that nelson. I did truly all i could, and in the end was the bigger person by stopping it from getting worse! I did have thoughts of a rebound and stopped myself a couple times. Going back to being alone again gets to ya haha. Got to build myself and the slug up, cant wait to be throwing some brews back with u all in person soon. Truly appreciate you all!!

I had an ex with Borderline Personality Disorder and she would lose it like that over the most random things.

I know you cared a lot for her and it sucks to come to this ending. hopefully it is a chance for you to heal and take care of yourself first

I actually feel like mental health is less taboo now than any time in history *shrug* which plays into it being an excuse
