Depends on who you're around. Some are all for it, some see it as a weakness.

 

I think that's definitely true, but it's still got enough of a stigma around it that a lot of folks steer clear of it/deny any problems/"white knuckle" through life.

But it's certainly better than it was even 10 years ago imo. Probably very dependent demographic-wise too

 

Older generations definitely see it as a weakness, younger do not, which is sorta my point

I mean, arguably it is a weakness. But taking care of it is the path to making one stronger.

 

Ya. I mean, mental health/therapy is now recognized by most healthcare provides. I can't go a week anymore without hearing someone, or a meme featuring unironic therapy.

 

Good point, i didnt think of it in that context. Usually i hear people quote their past and experiences vs mental health. Other than add, i do that myself lol

 

Thanks jake, im hoping as well. The more you care, the more you hurt. I just have to keep focus on myself like you said.

 

Some of us have this conversation all too often.

And we fall into that middle ground of being young, but old enough that we grew up with that perspective that men don't cry, men don't feel sadness, men should show no emotion except for happiness or anger, etc.
