sway bar removal benefits?

    255/85-16 BF goodrich km3's, modified trail gear Bumpers front and rear, 10k winch, ranch rear lift shackles, Rancho coilovers in the front, grey wire mod, aftermarket stereo, camper top on the back.
    are there any benefits to removing the sway bar on the front of my prerunner? will it give more flew offroad?

    If you are in a situation where you need more articulation...I highly doubt you would even make it through in a pre-runner.

    I have yet to experience where I needed more articulation offroad in my 4x4.

    be kinda dumb to do that cause im on road alot more than im off road

    I took mine off of my prerunner and didn't notice a difference. As a matter of fact, a week had gone by until I remembered I removed it. Definitely a difference while off roading. Not as stiff and more articulation.

    huh might give it a shot then cause a little more articulation would be good to keep more pressure on the rear tires when suspension flex is necesary.

    You can just remove the end links from the sway bar. If you decided you don't need it then you can remove everything. If you decided you want to put it back on, just hook it back up to the end links.

    King 2.5" extended travel coilovers with compression adjusters, Camburg UCA's, King 2.5" rear shocks, TRD 1st gen CAI.
    more wheel travel, softer ride and more articulation... just take the damn thing off :D

    just dont take any sharp turns while doing 90 and you'll be fine. you can always put it back on if you dont like it.

    It wont cause any loss in ride height. However, I think most people are overlooking one relatively important aspect. Yes the sway bar works to minimize body roll on high speed sweeping corners...BUT it also helps decrease front end "dive" when doing heavy braking followed by a sharp turn. (ie. turning onto a side street from a main street). This is the only other affect I can think of. If you already have oversized tires that rub a bit at times the might find that you are "bottoming out" more.

    oil change...
    not at all, I had mine off on both my tacos. its sooo much nicer offroad without it. It allows your truck to fully use the IFS, with it still on there its not 100% ifs IMO.

    dont know, i dont have experience with 1st gens. just take off the ends and check it out, if it looks like the sway bar is going to bounce around like a bitch and smash into things, you should take it out completely. if it looks fine, leave it in just disconnect it

    its stock ride height and im running 265/75-16. they rub a little cause the in side of one fender received a peice of a tractor trailer tire going do the highway. the chunk ripped out part of the plastics in the fender and still need to trim up. shouldnt be a problem with those size tires if i trim it . . . correct?

    it shouldnt rub anymore or any less, just take it off and see. you'll notice a little body roll at first, but you will get used it after a few miles.
