Lake Lopez? Was just there a couple months ago, looks pretty familiar!

Multiple cars got stuck in the sand on the way down to the water's edge while we were at Lake Lopez--I thought to myself a Tacoma 4x4 would not have this problem.

That is right - good eye!

This time it was soft, but plenty of traction. No issues at all… Had it in 4wd simply to get some mileage on the front diff…

There were very few people around - well… at least there. they were all sitting around their vehicles at the sites.

Nice area. - Are you in the vicinity?

    Dissent off-road
Less than 1 week of ownership and have dissent bed rack on, roof rack waiting install (paying a Dealer to install since they will cover leaking issues), shrockworks sliders awaiting install and auto home Columbus roof top tent. Coming along nicely

I live in Santa Barbara, but most of my family weekend & camping trips are to SLO county. Our Lunar Rock Tacoma is going to accumulate a good share of its mileage on future trips to Morro Bay, San Simeon and the vicinity.

Though definitely need to work Lake Lopez into the rotation--the wildlife there was amazing. It's a fairly developed campground, but the wildlife there seemed almost oblivious and wasn't overtly living off of campers' leftovers.

Maiden off-road voyage on West Camino Cielo Road, a mostly single track trail on the ridgeline of a central California coastal range. About 25 miles from the entry point on one highway to the return point on a different highway, with a peak elevation of around 4000 feet before returning to sea level.

I took the opportunity to exercise 4L with MTS and a bit of Crawl Control, after running on 4H for half the drive.

I'm sure this could be done with mostly or all 2WD based on various comments online. But the gearing on 4L was killer on the steeper, rockier terrain where picking a decent line mattered. No dings on the skidplate yet . . . .

I picked my 22 LR up on the 20th of November , I traded my 21 Subaru wrx STI off for it and so far I couldnt be happier! Just picked her up this afternoon from the tinter, got 10% on all the windows. Blackvue cameras installed. Thats about it so far , but I love the truck!

Just picked up my Lunar Rock and before my first 100 miles I made this mod. What do you think of the combo?

I ended up going through with the trade…I still can’t tell if it’s a single stage paint or not. I compared it to a super white at the dealer and the paint looked EXACTLY like super white with a touch of green. The paint definitely doesn’t seem as durable as my old Magnetic gray. I wiped it with a *new* microfiber with some diluted Optimum No Rinse after a washing it and it definitely swirled the paint…something I did a thousand times on the MGM and never swirled.

Oh well iTs juSt a TruCk dhRrrrhuuuurrRr :duh:

overall I’m super stoked with the color :)

Do you have any more pics of this set up? I have the exact same wheels and tires I’m gonna put on mine this weekend.

I'm disappointed that you didn't go with the official tire of Lunar Rock. Sad.

I personally like these more than the official bronze wheel on the trail edition. Very nice.

The color matched of the sports just don't look good in lunar rock...

My 2016 white 4runner was bad for this, everyone states that was single stage paint.
