I have a 2010 with 200K miles on it. It's virtually flawless, except the headlights.

I have been targeting these SPEC-D headlights and there is always @mazon, but I was hoping you guys could tell me of some companies I've never heard of that are NOT SPEC-D or available on @mazon?

I am hoping for something relatively simple and I'm not looking for HID.

OEM headlights. Anything aftermarket is junk. Search ultimate headlight upgrade.

That's a good search! But I'm surprised that a set of $450 headlights would be "junk."

I've been in your position and bought some aftermarkets because I thought they looked neat. One pair were from TacomaBeast and the other were those awful ones with the black housing that run about $119 on eBay. They had crummy light output and I bit the bullet and bought some OEM Pro headlights which have been fantastic. You get what you pay for with aftermarket lights.

The Ultimate Headlight Upgrade thread is a great thing to read over. I bought the harness and the light output with my halogens is awesome. So that's my recommendation.

Read the Ultimate Headlight thread. Quite a bit of info to validate the junk label.

Well it ain't Morimoto in my book...

$1,400 for a set of headlights and two years later they still don't make an adapter that supports the OEM LED headlight harness.

I bought some ebay projector lights with the LED 'C' bar and some good quality LED lamps. While the output is better than OEM, not by much and worse in some aspects. In my previous car I had PIAA 135/90W halogen lamps with separate relays for each side and 10AWG wiring in euro H4 housings, they were amazing. I'll be switching mine out, I kept my factory headlight housings fortunately.
