NO, it does not seem correct.
If you require the added switch to control the relay, the add-a-fuse goes to green, then first red to relay.
If you require the switch to dim with the rest of the dash illumination then ground (black) goes to beige wire on any dash switch (tap).

 

Per the package, it states red 2 (next to the ground) should be the add a fuse on the “tail” fuse.

I think I saw in a previous post, you stated not to attach the ground from the harness so that if the vehicle is powered off, the light will lose power as well?



How I’m currently wired, and trying to figure what exactly to do with the red and green from the backlight switch. I feel as if the red for the backlight can be skipped, and just add a fuse the green so that the backlight turns on with ignition, or wire tap the DRL if I want to go that route?

 

What switch do you have?

 

Stated in the photo, CH 4x4. Seems the same as the caliraised. Are you asking in regards to the backlight?

 

That is specifically to have the switch illuminate in parallel with the dash, not to provide to the relay circuit. (but you can). The problem I see is the harness coming from the relay, it seems not clear if it's "compatible" in your drawing.

 

Current state is that the LED light comes on at any point that I turn the switch on. Wether the truck is on or not. Illumination of the switch is wonky. Only cmes on when "on"

Backlight is not functioning at all at this point.

 

Also, in your drawing I see no fuse from battery to relay or after relay towards the light bar...

 

in-line fuse is built in to the harness. Updated the photo with it. Lol.

 

How many wires towards the switch in the harness and what colors are they?

Red
Yellow
Black

Amber backlight switch:
Green
Red (Spliced off the same red from the LED wiring)

Yes, factory, but I'm not using their switches. Left switch is to the LED, right is the backlight. Backlight wont be on a switch.

 

How the wiring actually is.

 

Hate to ask, can you spell this out for me? This is my first auto/electrical extavaganza.
