    It's plenty of penetration; it's 6010 1/8" rod at 75 amps.

Stay on it a bit too long and the puddle easily just heats up the metal around it, causing an even larger keyhole that is absolutely painful to fill.

Fun fact: Professional .NET development on MacOS is a thing now.

Okay, it wasn't that fun, but it is a fact.

Adding more to the pile, @Sperrunner would be proud.

Also ordered their Metric Packout slim case as a means of having a 3rd set of truck tools, but one that can easily be moved about.

I'm tired of the heavy tool bag with all my shit to use on the 4R.

The experience on MacOS is very different from Windows. Visual Studio for MacOS on Windows is an amazing IDE. Visual Studio isn't the same application at all--it's a rebranding of the old Mono/Xamarin IDE. Or you can use Visual Studio Code (a fancy text editor) and the dotnet command line tools, in which case .NET on MacOS feels more like writing Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.

More important than the dev experience is that you can run C#/ASP.NET apps in non-Windows environments. In other words, you can deploy a modern ASP.NET app to a Linux server or container cluster.

Linq is amazing and C# has done a great job of copying the best features from other languages. I think C# and .NET are severely underrated by anyone who hasn't looked at how they've evolved over the the last ~5 years.

I should get back to working.

I used VB.NET in 2013, actually liked it quite a bit. I'd give C# a try if I had a good environment for it.

Keep looking at Macbooks, and the new keyboards feel great, but the price they want is nope nope nope territory.
