I have an uncle that doesn't believe we've been to the moon because we can't get pictures of the buggy/landing site, but we have pictures of galaxies. I've tried to explain that the speed of light would take a million years to get from one side to the other of any one of those galaxies, and that we have yet to hit 1% of the speed of light, they're MASSIVE, but my dog understood it better...

Once something is tntc or tsts most don’t bother. It doesn’t matter that one set of images is taken from 100 miles away and another from 100,000 miles or 1000 light years, their mind stopped at how far they can see or walk in a few hours(even the distance driven in a few hours is beyond full comprehension). If a satellite can image cars clearly enough to track a single one amidst many others why is the one on the moon so blurry? The difference in distance just doesn’t register. Numbers are tools but get beyond “several” to “many” and real meaning ceases to exist. The phrase “we are only limited by our imagination” can be daunting if you dwell on what those limits truly are. One of the most critical parts of education is prying open our minds to new possibilities for as long as possible in every field of study not only to increase our understanding but to expand our ability to comprehend what might be possible. Most people spend a tiny percentage of their lives if at all exercising and stretching their minds this way. Physical achievements keep being surpassed in tournaments because each generation acquires the ability to imagine they can be surpassed, going from “I could never do that” to “what if I try this?”. But we don’t celebrate mental prowess the same way or even think of it as something that should be celebrated the way Brady, Beckham, Lebron, Ohtani, or Federer are. Pick any sport and you’ll find hundreds if not thousands of recognizable names in each then try that with all of the sciences together including Nobel laureates. Recognition means everybody knows your name, not just others like you. Something to think on.

Just curious, did they mention a fairing diameter for it? I mostly listened while doing other stuff and didn't catch it.
