It’s hit or miss sometimes. ME I replaced it when I had front end apart installing 6112’s. No vibes.

The rear was lifted only 1 inch with the new shock but the front shocks was a 2 1/2 inch lift so there’s more tilt in the front but I’ll be getting a leaf package soon to give it more lift in the back.

Diff drops aren’t needed on these trucks bud. Several threads regarding this topic. I wouldn’t stress the rear not being “lifted”. As long as the truck is somewhat level and the front not jacked to the sky, you’re gonna be just fine.

You don't need a diff drop for that level lift, but needle bearing couldn't hurt

Yeah I've seen a lot of ppl only put diff drops on if they have their truck lifted higher then 3" for the cv boots but I wanted them to fix the vibrations. What will happen to my truck if I don't fix the vibrations?

If the needle bearing is the source of your problem you can test using your 4wd system. Find a straight stretch of road and drive down it at a speed that causes vibes. Engage your 4wd. If the vibration goes away it was the needle bearing.

If it is driveline angles there are some very good threads buried in the suspension portion of this forum that even include pictures. It's pretty fascinating stuff and it starts to feel like every truck is unique with the way tolerances in manufacturing stacked up and then get tweaked when we mod. Smarter people than me have had long discussions about it... mostly they end up agreeing diff drop not needed.

Thanks guy the information I'm pretty sure its the needle bearing bc I have turned on 4 HI and the vibration did go away, but I was hoping I can fix the issue without spending too much money on the needle bearing. I know the part is cheap but I don't want to replace it myself and will go to either the dealership to replace or some automotive shop to do it. Living in Colorado there's a ton of off-road shops here.

Nice job finding out where your vibes were coming from. I don’t have any vibes myself but swapping out that needle bearing is on the top of my list as well. Good insurance in my eyes
