Ended up trading my Tacoma in on a Tundra today. We have been really wanting to get a bigger truck with a 6.5 bed for a four wheel camper setup. This community has been pretty helpful since I joined. Just wanted to thank everyone.

gonna go try and see if I can make bowman lake today, did it a few years back from verdi all the way across 89, to the summit and into FS07 to bowman, I did it on an enduro, I dont think there is snow left, what might be left is prob slush or gone what do you guys think ?

 

Sierra avalanche center's recent report noted snow was essentially nonexistent below 8,400ft.

 

I was out at Bowman last weekend. No snow at all on the route between 20 and 89.

Late to the game, but yesterday I took the oldest and the Pioneer up towards Crystal Peak (the Christmas Tree gettin' spot) and aside from a few mud puddles in the ditches, nada. Kinda depressing, considering last year at this time we crawled down to Dog Valley w/ 4lo in the Tacoma, through several inches of snow and ice.

There is neither Jack nor Sh*t for snow up yonder.

 

Anyone recommend a good place to rent a drone maybe buy a one used?? I'm trying to learn how to fly one so I can film some projects I have lined up.

 

We've got a DJI Phantom ( 4, i believe it is) that works great but we never use it. Would be open to selling it if interested. Has probably less than 5hrs flight time and includes a few batteries, case, etc.

Got out to heavenly for opening day yesterday. Snow was pretty good actually. Northstar Tuesday. Nice to see some snow on the mountains finally. Just in time for me to leave reno for winter break :/

 

Lets see if we actually get any accumulation or if it is one of our usual BS storms.

Wildpeak A/T3Ws worked great in the snow early this morning.

 

This was the first time trying out the new Cooper Discoverers on the t4r in the snow. Really nice traction!

 

Some decent snow at lake level.

 

Got like an inch in the hills of east Sparks. Was hoping for more but at least the mountains got a lot.
