2nd gear is ridiculous with 35s. well over highway speeds till it shifts to 3rd

Ahh dang it! Maybe it's just the O ring in the valve cover leaking into the spark tube?

Spark end. But the entire spark plug and coil were soaked in all three cylinders. I was watching some videos on you tube. And saw one that was very helpful. Basically saying that my pcv system isnt performing how it should. Which would make sense as to why there is excessive oil consumption in the cylinders with that vent

I'm torn on this. I have a fat truck and the 4.88s aren't low enough when crawling. I often use the starter to crawl up some obstacles. 70 mph and I'm cruising at 3200rpm so fuel efficiency sucks but if I had any less gear I'd have to drop to 4th. I think crawl box is my solution or I think the newer manuals come with a similar low first gear like the r151f.

I hope I get more life out of mine than that. I think I'm on year 5 and 60k if I had to guess.

Got a lot of stuff lol
I will say 33s with the 1uz, a340e at 4th plus lockup, and 4:30s on the highway doing 70 I'm at 2200 RPM. Eventually I'm going to 35s so I know that'll change lol

For anyone wanting to put a r151f behind a 5vz and use the left hand drop chain transfer case, you will need the 5 speed out of a Hzj79. Then all you need to do is swap on your Vz bell housing and r150f extension housing/shift lever/rail. No adapters or mumbo jumbo. I will say be very careful when separating the extension housing from the 151. It has sealant on both sides of the center steel, so if you don't plan to take the front case off and reseal, don't break that seal. If you are refreshing it then it doesn't matter. You can use the transfer case from a A340f or r150f, you just need the shift lever from the r150f. The auto lever will hit the 5 speed stick.20211108_155707.jpg 20211108_155751.jpg 20211108_155804.jpg

Ouch, yeah, maybe want to check for a head leak. Looks like your temps are way low, way rich, lots of build up synonymous with a head gasket leak.

Round two. To save cost, re-used as much ofnthe previous material as possible. Not as pretty, but works just the same.
