Since when has the US ever worried about overall health? Look at Type 2 diabetes and when it started spiking. Right when HFCS started to replace cane sugars. Yeah, as a whole we eat and exercise like shit. But try and convince Joe Blow that cooking and eating non-processed foods will make him healthier and feel better and you'll be met with a cold dumb look.

Don't blame steak. I eat a fair amount of red meat and my cholesterols are both very good. I also only drink water and hardly ever eat processed foods. If it's got an expiration date more then a week in the future I pass. lol
