That’s barely a down payment here in the Bay Area.

$380K would buy half of a house in my neighborhood :p

Not having a garage to work/tinker in would kill me though.

That's hilarious. We just moved from Eureka to Ohio. And our $325,000 house in Ohio is 2 story, 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 8 acres, pond, pole barn. The house we lived in on Walnut Drive in Eureka (we rented) was appraised at like $480,000 and it was 1 story, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, conjoined living room / dining room / kitchen. Basically a slightly more than single wide trailer size. And on top of that we got the pleasure of having our cars broken into all the time and a random budding serial killer stabbing two people half a block away from us. Say hi to the Old Town tweakers for me if you happen up 2nd Street!

In lower mainland where I live, you will be lucky to find a decent condo for that price.

There are places where 300k will buy you a decent house, or you could build your own for that for sure.

Add $40~$45k for a new Tacoma
    Add $30k for a Tab320s Boondock

Now you have it all... a house, a truck, and a camper bigger than what's inside that truck-house.

You also now have re-sale on any of the three items you just bought...

I just spotted in the wild one of these Earth Roamer type boxes on a lifted Freightliner chassis. o_Oo_Oo_O

As if you were really going to boondock in the sticks with that... How many backwood spots in this country can you navigate with a UHaul box truck? What owner would be willing to trail-rash a 300k camper anyhow? The absurdity of it overcasts my appreciation for the craftsmanship.

...I kinda wish I got close enough to see what tire company is crazy enough to make aggressive ATs for a commercial dually though. :anonymous:

Lol. Good for you buddy. My family is from Ohio and I think I’d rather deal with the Tweakers than live in Ohio (at least for now). I live in Fortuna so no shopping cart pushers yet. I wish you and your family the best.
