Burn back is when the wire "burns back" into the tip, welding itself to the tip and making the wire into spaghetti where the drive rolls are. Happens all the time with aluminum wire, not so much with metal. Wound up having to change the tip this time, some times you can get it out.

I prefer buy it now as well. I’ve had really good luck most of the time, I’m not really sure what the deal is here, hopefully the guy is alright, he had hundreds of positive feedback but never answered any of my emails which is pretty weird.

Carnage at the chipper! A piece of panning broke out at the mouth of our chipper today. It caused some serious carnage. All six knives looked like this, and one was broken into four pieces. Going to be a fun job patching that hole tomorrow morning, and resetting the clearance to the anvil for the knives. 366BE8E5-D851-4FFB-842A-50822BD0E95B.jpg57218534-83FF-49E1-A480-BE564BD9E741.jpg 30CA3490-E6C8-444A-B81B-EA7C1958FC49.jpg

That was pretty much everyone's face when it stopped spinning and we could see the carnage.

Didn't hear it happen actually. That thing is pretty loud normally, then add the racket of a running sawmill and it blends in. Figured it out when there was a jam up and we could hear just the chipper, which makes a very different noise when the knife doesn't wipe past the anvil evenly.

The property manager of the condo we were scheduled to stay at in Florida emailed me yesterday that they are working on the stairs for the unit and I won't be able to use the designated parking spot or the front door of the condo so we'd have to go in and out through the patio door. If I'm not mistaken, most patio doors can't be locked from the outside so am I expected to just leave it unlocked when we leave?

They gave me the option of staying there anyway, moving to a comparable condo or getting a refund. I opted for the refund.

I started looking for a new place and it didn't take too long to find one that is a lot nicer and a handful of dollars less expensive. Win-win. :D

    Yeppers, happy Friday morning crew.
I think we're busy moving a Halon tank today. A fire protection system and the tank will be sent to vendor for refill/refurbishment (expensive paint job prolly).
