Can anyone get an actual height measurement of these on a 8.5” wheel?

    Your typical overlander mods
On my nitro ridge grapplers the tires say OD:34 and OW: 11.50. Depending on the brand, it may vary a little. I have them mounted on 17x8.5 methods, hope that helps.

My 33.1 tires on 8.5 wheel measure a little under 32”. I know tire pressure would make a difference but was just wondering with a tape what they truly measured. I know some tires run a little smaller than stated others measure larger but these seem pretty true to size. Thanks

Hey guys! Read 15 pages of the forum and didn't see my exact planned setup but was looking for some confirmation on if this should work...

    285 75 17 BFG KO2
    SCS BR6 rims... 3.5 backspace -38 offset and 17x 9
    SPC UCA
    Dirt Kings LCA
    Alpine Designs Cab Mount Relocation
    Kings Suspension 3" lift
Haven't decided what yet but SOME leaf pack
    Heat gun for the plastic...
Hoping to avoid pinch weld? Probably not...

If anyone has some advice on this would be greatly appreciated!!

ko2s run a bit smaller in general. I think you’ll still need to trim some of the plastics by the pinch welds. Depending on your alignment you may still need to do your pinch welds especially if you’ll be off-roading it. In general should be fine

No reason to do a cab mount relocation. Unless one day you’re going to 35’s.

Cab mount CHOP is all that’s needed… if done properly.

Your truck, your call. Only saying it cause you don’t want to bend pinch weld but are ok with a large welding project.

Am still torn with the 34s or 35s at the moment... trying to get info on both ends of the spectrum haha. I want to keep everything looking as factory looking as possible to the naked eye is my main thing. From what I've seen a well done CMC/CMR looks pretty good! I'll probably end up bending the pinch weld lmao

I don’t know or care to know where you live exactly. But honestly go drive to the trial heads of the roads you are going to go wheeling on. If Honda civics and minivans are on the trial 34’s. If scratched up / beat up trucks are rolling around 35’s. (I live in British Columbia, I’ve seen Mercedes cars go 90% the distance of local trails, how the underside looks I dare not imagine.)

Too many Instagram trucks going around these days. 34’s are functional. Go to YouTube and watch this video, for some decent visual info on topic.

Taking a guess you have an automatic, 35’s you’ll never see 6th gear again on a highway.

35s look amazing agreed but i'm with you, from a functional standpoint 34"s seem to be the sweet spot. Relative to 35s, much less work required around cutting/tubbing, less additional things such as re-gearing/gussets etc.

If your main use is weekend warrior, daily driver, occasional tougher trail then 34's are sufficient. Other thing to keep in mind, with the wheels you have and the -38mm offset, you'll absolutely have to cut much more if you go 35's.

I have similar set up being installed as soon as tomorrow.
    Fox 2.5 DSC lift
    SCS BR6 17x9
    Yokohama G003 285/75r17
    SPC UCA
So far I have CMR done, pinch weld bent but have not yet cut/trim anything yet until tires installed. Future plan to put on some 35s after regear the truck.

Awesome man that thing is gonna look siiiiick. Can you post up a pic when it gets done? And let me know how much cutting/trimming you ended up doing as well as if it looks like the pinch weld was necessary with the CMR? (I'm assuming yes but) Also is it the -38 BR6s or the other offset they offer (Can't remember i think it was -12?)

I have CMR done last month. Gonna trim some plastic tonight and go get alignment tomorrow. Yes it rub like hell. My 17x9 BR6 have -38 offset. The other is 17x8.5 with -10 offset

I have 295/70/R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they have very minimal rubbing with the correct allignment.

I'm drooling that thing looks sick I can't wait to get mine. Just waiting for SCS to restock their rims hahaha who knows how long that will take. Hopefully the alignment helps you out with some of the rubbing. Would love to hear an update after the alignment considering you pretty much have the exact build I'm doing!

Also looks great. Any chance you have a printout from your alignment?

Let me look around it was about a month ago. The suspension settled so they had to redial it in.

Do you have a lift now with the 285/70’s?

I have stock suspension/lift and wondered if I could get a set of 275/70/17’s under there.

Someone might have posted an answer to if this specific lift will fit with these tires but, I’m not about to look though 47 pages. Just got my lift done with 285/75/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3s. My lift is the Bilstein 5100s with 888 coils, a 1/2’spacer and SPC UCAs. Back is AAL with 5100s too. Oh and a Body Mount Chop.
