You might want to check out the Doug Demuro video where he does all of the things you describe with little issue.

    I don’t think so… lol!

El Nacho Diablo must assume that everyone is into rock crawling like him, and Rivian owners are going to cut out the stock suspension then weld in some linked 60s…attaching the motors to them will be interesting. :)

I'd just like to know because it's pretty darn ignorant and uninformed.

    That's an interesting photoshop though.

Either he just trolling, or really an ignoramus. Which I see that a lot, people bitching why manufacturers don’t build a vehicle specifically for their wants and needs. Actually see that quite a bit in this forum, swear majority of Tacoma owners are the biggest whiners.

Yeah it is! We can build quite capable off-road EVs, now if we can figured out the energy storage.

Ugly, overpriced, NO LONG BED option??? This is not really a truck. And battery life whilst towing will be pathetic. I wonder how all these mfgs are going to address that issue. Hard to fight physics. Now the hybrids, like Toyota's new Tundra iForce Max, make sense.

Not marketed to be a long bed though they could intro one in the future. Looks like a pickup to me.

Don’t DCSB Tacoma’s out sell the DCLB and ACLB? Don’t think majority of buyers actually use them as trucks, I sure don’t, mine gets mostly used as a commuter and hauling my moto gear once or twice a week if I am lucky.

Think that goes for most trucks no matter the bed size, where we live many of the vehicles on the road are pickups, rare that I see them actually hauling anything. Believe owning a truck is more of an image thing for most buyers, while the majority of us could get by with a basic sedan. Including myself, could get by with one and a super lightweight trailer for the moto, but where is the fun in that!?

Yeah, agree with you on battery life…don’t think lithium ion is the answer. Be awhile before I buy one.

You are responding to the guy who posted a link to Diesel-Electric trains as some sort of anti-EV argument, he also cannot tell the difference between a single piece of metal with no moving components and an automobile.

My guess is he has been eating off some lead pans for a few years now.
