Nope not really even though they are trying to kill off our most proven energy supply of coal. Green energy sounds great but isn't sustainable in all conditions like Texas proved. I like the hybrid setups but they punish us with higher fees in Ohio for them and electric.

just like those that claim its "them" trying to take away your [something]

The irony is most folks actively against EVs run around in this absolute panic that the "liberals" are going to take their jobs, lives, money, religion, sexual identity... sure enough, tell them about these things they should fear and they follow along to the group-think.

28 charges in 2,700 miles Towing is still a main issue for EV trucks. But will be figured out eventually.

Of right now the average person can't afford a electric vehicle even if they bought a used one. The repairs are outrageous. Tesla won't replace a bad part of the battery but the whole thing and that is over 20g. Simple repairs are expensive.

In my area a lot of the factories were shut down during Obama. Before that happen we had a lot of snow during the winter and after that some winters we barely get snow.

Damn glad we aren’t living in the Hadean period, would have a hell of a time keep the tires from catching fire…

The planet has been through worse than humans, we a merely a surface nuisance. One day it will get sick of our bullshit and hit the reset button like it has done many times in the past. EVs won’t save us, I do find the tech fascinating though. Amazing that we humans discovered how to use resources from the planet to build our modern world.

Who knows we may one day be able to control the climate, and perhaps terraform other planets. Though that may end bad… lol!

Not an abundance of EV mechanics and parts to the end user. In time EV mechanics or Techs will be trained. Parts are direct from the Mfg. so they are expensive to repair. Still cost of ownership is down over a few years compared to an ICE vehicle.

    This is entirely not true

The affordability is the same as the average new car, you pay more up front but much much less in operating costs.

Repairs to a tesla are like every other vehicle. Heck, someone here posted that a new Tacoma motor was $20k. Tesla has a warranty just like everyone else, you can buy components on the used market just like everyone else, and you can repair outside of Tesla's service center just like everyone else. The simple fact of the matter is the need to repair a tesla battery is as common as the need to repair a Tacoma engine or transmission, both are highly unlikely and both are very very expensive. Yes, Tesla won't repair a bad battery, but I doubt Toyota is replacing a crank bearing at a service center either...

I don't think anyone who is pro EV has ever said EV's are not needing repair or run perfect. They do however require less maintenance than an ICE vehicle.

Agreed. And as far as manufactures go Tesla is garbage even if they make good electric cars. They are very much anti-consumer and anti-repair. However regardless of their stance there are repair shops popping up to make fixes Tesla won't. Heck, the whol "wont charge" thing was tesla burning out a small chip on a certain board by writing too much data to it. The original tesla repair was EXPENSIVE, they later lowered the cost, but there are now third party shops who hacked the software and can repair the chip AND prevent it from failing again. Their $16k repair for a broken coolant pipe on a Model 3 battery was stupid but that guy did end up getting it fixed for a few hundred bucks by a Tesla shop.

I was referring to since the Dawn of Man…a few rise up to control the many. Use fear to control them too.

Well…coal is stored solar energy and naturally occurring. You could say coal fired power plants are indeed solar powered. lol!

I am from PA, and relatives in WV we have a long history of coal miners in our family. It is pretty nasty stuff. Alternative energy isn’t perfect, it may be the lesser of the two evils though.
