Humans don't have any solution to keep our species from dying out. But why not try to extend our species life.

 

I do my own automotive repairs but I get my info about the Tesla repairs from owners and repair shops of them.

 

I am not sold on lithium-ion as an energy storage solution, have stated it several times if you were paying attention.

Prefer stainless for my cookware.

 

Texas had issues because the Gas and Oil plants froze up, not from the windmills. ALL sources were taken down due to a lack of winterization regardless of the type. Windmills can run just fine in cold weather, they use them all the time in Canada, buy just like coal and gas you have to prepare them for winter, something Texas didn't do.

 

Already Nissan is phasing out Cobalt and will be using minimal Lithium in their upcoming solid state batteries they announced.

I am waiting on nuclear batteries, be nice never to need charging and only have to replace every 10-15 years.

Of course not commercially viable, I may have a long wait… lol!

 

I don't think Texas proved what you think it proved.

 

Well apparently Texas was advised and given plans to winterize their electrical and other grids for snap or extended cold weather and they ignored this recommendation. Then to repair it they apparently just deferred the repair costs to the customer bills. That's pretty horrific.

Is Tesla a bad company for repairs? Yes. Does that reflect on ALL electric cars? No.

Is EVERYTHING that can fuel the anti-EV fire rapidly scattered around the web? Yes, and I'm pretty sure the repair guys read the internet too.

Don't confuse Tesla and EVs, and internet "truth" and a a wholistic picture.

 

I think Amazon will buy them out.

Yes it was. Those recommendations came out of the LAST time this happened and the Texas power commission recommended they winterize but did not make it mandatory. The end result was most didn't.

If you leave it ambiguous then the person who is afraid of "the man" just makes it be whomever they wish it to be. The end result is the same, whomever told you to be afraid of "the man" now can tell you what to do. Fear as a control mechanism at its finest
